Stayin’ Alive Reunion Thoughts
by Duckie Goldey Wardick, ’76 Like Myrna, I’ve had the Bee Gees song “Stayin’ Alive” stuck in my head quite a bit lately. 50 YEARS?!??!
From punch cards and Apple IIs to HIV/AIDS research, supercomputers, social media, and disco’s comeback, Cindy Franz Fisher reflects on the astonishing technological, medical, and cultural changes she’s witnessed over the past 50 years — and the moments that made her realize just how much the world, and all of us, have changed.

Not because we’re giving up, but because of mathematics and biology. This isn’t about reliving 1975 or 1980—it’s about saying hello again, right now, while we still can. Because some hellos can’t wait for next time.
